LOOK: Meralco Gives KADAMAY 5 Days to Pay 5-Month Bill "Pay or Live in Darkness"

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco), the energy company that supply electricity to Bulacan, specifically to KADAMAY housing units Pandi, Bulacan, warned the militant group of cutting the electrical suupply if they cannot pay their 5-month delayed bill on Friday.

Earlier, Pandi Water District disconnected the water lines to the housing unit illegally occupied by the urban militant group, but was later reconnected after militant leaders raised funds to pay the bill.

On Friday, Meralco said that the community is sitting on 14 million peso bill which remains unpaid since April this year.

The electric company warned KADAMAY that they could possibly live in darkness if they still refuse to pay.

The urban militant group have has been demanding free food, water, shelter, and electricity from the government.

Meralco has give the group until Friday to settle their debts, however, KADAMAY leaders said they will stage a mass protest in front of Meralco headquarters in Manila on Monday.

The controversial KADAMAY has been taking headlines since their illegal occupation of government housing units earlier this year. /Joy Valle/
