LOOK: Government lost 73B a year after PNoy sell 6 Int'l airport: Ginisa tayong mga tax payers sa sarili nating mantika

In a Facebook post shared by netizen Elgin Castillo Lazaro III lambasting former President Benigno Aquino for selling our airports to private entities.

Lazaro made use of the 2014 NAIA passenger data and the travel tax rate to come up with the amount to tune of 73.3 billion pesos.

In his post, Lazaro alleged that the beneficiaries of the airport privatization were his cronies namely Henry Sy, Aboitiz family, Ayala family, and Lucio Tan consortium.

But here's the bad news: the taxpayers are paying for the operation and maintenance of the privatized airports while the cronies are receiving the income.

Lazaro pointed out that the airport privatization initiative was the product of the much heralded Public Private partnership (PPP) flagship of the Pnoy government.

Luging-lugi tayo sa pag-privatize ng (6) anim na international airports natin na binigay ni PNoy sa mga cronies niya katulad nila Henry Sy, Aboitiz, Ayala, at Lucio Tan consortium. Mantakin mo kumikita pala ito sa passengers pa lang ng P73.3 billion pesos sa year 2014. Sa kabila nito, tayong mga taxpayers ang nagbabayad ng operations at maintenance ng ating mga international airport, ngunit ang kita ay pumupunta sa mga cronies ni Pnoy. Parang mali ang Public Private Partnership ni PNoy. Ginisa tayong tax payers sa sarili nating mantika."
