LOOK: According to Research 57% of Filipinos Prefer Martial Law than Return of Liberal Party in Palace, Pew Says

Latest study by American think tank Pew Research Center, reveals that 57% of Filipinos living in the Philippines prefer a country under President Rodrigo Duterte’s Martial Law, than the return of Liberal Party inside MalacaƱang Palace.

The survey was conducted from June to August, asked 6,700 respondents from 247 colleges and universities inside the country.

The same survey also conducted among Filipino-Americans living in the United States, with favorable response of 89%, higher than response taken from Filipino respondents.

Respondents were given three different independent questions to answer.

The survey includes the following questions.

1.Do you agree if Pres. Duterte put the whole country under Martial Law?

2.Do you want any member of Liberal Party to win in the 2022 Presidential Elections?

3.Do you think Bongbong Marcos will be the next Philippine President?
For the first question, 3,819  (57%) said yes, 2,468 (38.6) said no, while 425 (6.34%) refused to answer.

For the second question, majority of  the respondents said they don’t want the Liberal Party to control the government.  1,765 (26.34%) said yes, 4,675 (69.77%) said no, and 360 (5.3%) refused to answer.

Or the third question, an overwhelming majority want Bongbong Marcos to be the next president. 4,563 (69.44%) said yes, 1,895 (28.28%) said no, 242 (3.6%) did not answer.

The american version of the survey was conducted to 1,670 Filipino-Americans from July to August and produced almost similar result. /Topher Buena/
